Can't backup database - Error1034

[HostDirectory]

I need to backup my database as i have just purchased the new version of VB due to hackers redirecting my traffic to another website (hacked via a security vunerablity).

I keep getting the following error:

Have tried to repair the database and get the following error:

usercss	Check	Error: Incorrect key file for table 'usercss'; try to repair it
usercss	Check	Error: Corrupt

Any help would be appreciated - i am worried if i upgrade and something goes wrong i wont have a backup of my forums and will loose all my data.

Run Repair/Optimize in the Admin CP. You may need to run it more than once to fix all errors:

Admin Control Panel -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue

If you cannot access the Admin CP, then you can use phpMyAdmin to repair tables.

If that doesn't work then this may be too damaged to fix with the normal methods. Please check out this thread for other ways to repair a db, particularly items #2 and 3:

You may have to ask your host to try and repair this for you.

If none of that works - would upgrading fix the problem or might i loose my data?

So when you reun the repair, it still says its corrupted? You've repaired the table a few times?

I tried it like 30+ times - my hosting company is trying to repair it now.

IF they cannot, we can delete and re-create that table, it'll be a minor loss of data if you allow users to customize their profiles.

I am having the same database error with this table, both my host and I have tried repairing it in various ways - no luck. Would someone please provide me with details on how to delete and recreate this table?

I am about to upgrade from V3.x to the 4.X and I assume this should be done before upgrading.
