    [Forum] Opera Problems

After upgrading to 4.1.2 I am getting complaints that Opera isn't working. Is there a fix or solution?

    Thanks for your help!
    Cheers!

You'll need to be a little more specific on what isn't working. What version of Opera are they using? Etc...

Thanks Wayne, I really appreciate your help here!

Rather than posting what's already been discussed, here is a thread started by a member explaining what their issue is. I understand posting your answer here is to be expected

I do get a DNS error when trying to access your site via OPERA. You should check to make sure all your DNS records are up to date. However I do not have a problem accessing your site with other browsers. The likely problem is that Opera uses its own DNS or Proxy servers that are not up to date which is why this user is having a problem. Personally, I consider that a bad programming practice because it should use the DNS servers I specify like every other browser. It should inform users of these changes and how to undo them.

I also don't have a problem accessing other vBulletin sites with Opera. I am posting this message in Opera 11.64.

          Thanks Wayne,

Last question I hope... Why wouldn't my DNS records be up to date? Nothing has changed with my records for years.
          Cheers!

You may be missing an entry somewhere that Opera uses. It is really the only thing I can think of.

              That's really most weird.

In Opera, what your site is actually doing is redirecting me to my own IP, which obviously then gives me my router login screen.

Really weird because it's fine in other browsers.

You're actually right. Didn't even notice that because I don't use my WAN IP address much and I don't allow my router to be accessed from outside.
