    [CMS] Isam innodb

Which engine are you using with your vBulletin and why?
I was thinking of switching to INNODB, but have no idea how. I hear that INNODB does row locking and not table locking so you can get a performance increase. Anyone know if vBulletin supports INNODB?

Yes, vBulletin supports InnoDB. In fact, some of your tables may already be using InnoDB. You can read more about that here: http://vbtechsupport.com/675/

Check out this thread, this blog post, and this article too (look for "Don't Use InnoDB Tables (maybe)").

InnoDB is now default for MySQL 5.5
-- it is a BIG improvement over 5.1 and is now the better option (various benchmarks indicate 500% -- yes 5 times faster! InnoDB 5.1 vs InooDB 5.5)
