[Forum] Users unable to switch off mobile style

Since 'upgrading' to 4.1.8 from 4.1.4 our users are unable to switch off the mobile style and use the regular forum default on their mobile devices, it worked fine before the upgrade so somethings changed which is making our users unhappy, has anyone else had this? Can anyone tell me how to sort it?

If I change the settings relting to the mobile tyle then when the users that do use the mobile style try and browse the forums the style keeps changing back to the default one?

I can't seem to replicate this problem on 4.1.8.

I have a default style and a mobile style.

In in Settings -> Options -> Style & Language Settings I have the Default style set to my Default Style and the two mobile options I have set to my Mobile Style.

I also have Allow Users To Change Styles set to Yes.

When i browse my forum from a mobile phone I am shown the mobile style, but when I choose "Full Site" from the link I am given the full style and am able to browse with the default style without issue.

Please confirm if this is your setup.

If it is not working please "Disable Hooks" using this info and see if it still does not work:

I have the identical problem as listed by the OP.

I can confirm the setup as outlined by 'BirdOPrey5' and I've disabled hooks but the problem persists.

Any help sure would be appreciated.

My mobile Android users are able to switch to a different style, but as soon as they load a new page, it reverts back to my forum default style. Issue seems to only be present in Android browsers.

I'm having the same issue with Android browsers (don't have a blackberry to check with). I confirmed that switching between styles works fine on iPhones. Only difference is I'm running 4.1.9

I have the same problem as per opening post. Running vb for the past 6+ years (vb 4.1.9)

Has there been a fix?
