Hi! Is this patch really working on vbulletin 4.1.3? Can you switch to bbcode even in Chrome?
Btw... how do i apply that .patch file to vBulletin?

    Thanks in advance!

The old style editor does not show the switch editor mode in Chrmoe, because the WYSIWYG opttion does not work in Chrome. it's nothing to do with not being able to detect Chrome.

You can easily make the button show, but it is still not going to work.

However, your version of vBulletin is considerably out of date. Upgrade to either 4.1.12 or 4.2.0, you will get the new editor which works in Chrome.

Sorry, but my users just hate the looks of the new editor... I've tried, and then reverted back to 4.1.3. So i need a way to make it work with Chrome too.

You can't. It doesn't. That's one of the reasons it was changed.

You are wrong, the patch WORKS! It's just tricking Chrome to work in WYSIWYG.
Unfortunately, not all the buttons works. I'll post what's ok and what's not.

            Works:
            Remove text formatting
            Fonts
            Fonts size
            Colour
            Manage Attachments
            Undo
            Redo
            Bold
            Italic
            Underline
            Align Left
            Align Center
            Align Right
            Ordered List
            Unordered List
            Decrease Indent
            Increase Indent
Add an Image (works, but you can't edit it like in Firefox)

            Not working:
Smilies (selecting from droplist or smilies window does not insert anything)
Insert Link (it's not asking for the http link)
Insert Email (it's asking for the email address but it's not inserting anything into post)
Insert Video (it's asking for the video address but nothing happens when you press OK button)
Wrap QUOTE (nothing happens when you press it)
Wrap CODE (nothing happens when you press it)
Wrap HTML (nothing happens when you press it)
Wrap PHP (nothing happens when you press it)

Also, all my custom buttons are not working - nothing happens when you press them. They are the following: Justify, Strike-through font, Xbox Live Code, Imdb Code, User Code, Spoiler Code and Table Code.

Hopefully AbdelrahmanSalem can update/fix it... Or maybe somebody else can help us make vBulletin 4.1.3 (and below) still work with Google Chrome. Thanks in advance!

That only means the patch is incomplete... not that it doesn't work. May i remind you said earlier "You can't". Seems like AbdelrahmanSalem can. I just hope he will continue his work and make it perfect (something that vB should be from the start).

If you're still running 4.1.3 I would seriously consider upgrading given that's way out of date...

                  - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
                  - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)
