    [Forum] 4.1.4 Issues with Ipad

I have just upgraded the forum and I can't reply or start a new thread from my Ipad.

I can type into a plain box (i.e the Ckeditor features are not there) but when I click on submit for the post it just doesn't DO anything. This happens in quick reply and advanced.

Another issue is when loading a thread the new ckeditor is making the thread hang for a few seconds before it fully loads (when viewing from a PC)...

    Thanks..

Mmmmhhhh, Deve try using vB's default theme and see if you can post using it. It will work, try disabling all plugins either.

YES, the CKE editor isn't available even on this vBulletin's site (if you visit it via iPad). I've tried this and I do think it's another FAIL.

This vB 4.1.4 is buggy, I do regret upgrading; no roll-back options, I have to 'deal with it'!

That's what I love about bug tracker. Someone says it's fixed and members have to figure out how. There's no instructions there. You see an attached file--this .diff file and you're supposed to figure out what to do with it--if it does anything at all.

Thank you worried, I'm no developer and a novice to VB really. I had to figure out how to open the file to see what was in it lol. That extension isn't recognised on my comp. Can someone, Mark. Please post what to do with that file, please

Well I'm sure there's a better way than this, but basically in the diff file the red code has to be removed and the green code has to go in.
it should tell you in the file eactly which files this relates to, I've not looked at this specific one.

I always do it manually but I bet there's an easier way.

Yep still don't get it. I have the mobile.diff open in notepad++ and at the top it says Index: clientscript/vbulletin_textedit.js so thats fine I have that file open too in notepad++

But there is no red bits in mobile.diff, I have orange, green and blue.

Man can someone not post a simplier fix like phpbb does..

                        I.e open this file..

                        Find this code..

Either remove or replace with this code..

Then the next bit etc etc etc...................................

I have this issue as well, exactly as Deverill laid it out.

Dan there's a proper useable fix for us novices now. Go to - http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-12092 and download the vbulletin_textedit.js file (ignore the mobile.diff file). You need to upload the vbulletin_textedit.js file to the Client script directory, overwriting the one you already have there. But make a backup of the file from your server first just incase anything should go wrong.Hope that helps.
