[Forum] How to change What's New search type

Hello, i'm wondering how to change What's New search type. Instead of Posts and New Posts i would like it to show Posts and Posts from the last day.

I tried searching the CP for it, i tried googleing it, i just can't find the way.
This guy here also asked this question, but he didn't get an answer

    Can you help me?

You could create a link that just goes to search.php?do=getdaily Is that what you are asking about?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

That works, but how do i edit the What's New button to display those search results, and not the standard one?

It would also be nice if i could edit the What's New button to show new blog entries as well. Right now it does the same thing as the "New Posts" button.

The What's New? navtab is located in the navbar template, so you would edit it there.

For vB4 the URL for Today's Posts is search.php?do=getdaily&contenttype=vBForum_Post

You need to look in the navbar template and there are links to search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post, simply replace the latter with the former.

Currently you can't mix the two.

Thank you a lot for your help.

Do you perhaps know an answer to this question?

I installed a psiStats 2010 mod hoping i'll be able to see this data, but i can't - that part of the mod doesn't seem to work. Is there a way i can see this i Admin CP?

                  Thanks again!

Sorry don't know that one, I have often wanted to do that myself, I think the style info is stored in the datastore or something, which always makes me glaze over.

Plus, you have the problem that the quick style chooser at the foot of the page doesn't change a member's settings, it only sets a cookie, so even if you get this query, it will only tell you data for those people who bothered to change the style in the User CP - which generally isn't all that many!

Yes, i read that before, but i have 11 styles and i have to figure out witch ones to delete. Today i wanted to install the Spoiler Tag and fix this problem, only to realize that i need to do it 11 times.

I opened up a poll on the forum, hopefully the members will be of some use

I'm planning on leaving only 3-4 styles, max 5.

Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it. They should really put some sort of Thanks button on these forums
