In order to clean up our existing old English language/phrases i decided to re-import it. That didn't get rid of the customization however. So I decided to delete the language and then re-upload it.
I uploaded a 2nd language (dutch), set it to default. Then deleted English as language. So far so good, however re-uploading it didn't make English re-appear as language.
A bit of digging shows that all phrases are correctly loaded in the phrase table but the language table does NOT have an entry for language -1 (which is the id those phrases have in phrase table)
The admincp 'delete language' indeed does delete the language from the language-table. However the import-xml function does NOT insert such a row for the Master Language (it has a special exception for that one).
What is wrong?
- Should the main/master language ever be deletable?
- If so, why doesn't xml-import not add the correct row?
And there probably is an easier way to remove customized phrases?
