Need to move copyright notice

I have one style I have been tinkering with and in the process I have made the copyright notice next to impossible to read. It's there. It's just the background picture is so busy it's hard to read it. So to stay in bounds with the license terms I tried changing the color but no joy there.
The only other thing I can think of is moving it up under the time statement or putting it on the bar to the right of the theme selector. However I am at a loss as to how to do either one. Could some one point me in the direction of how to go about doing either one?

Take the following section out of your footer template and move it to another part of the template:

 <div class="smallfont" align="center">
 <!-- Do not remove this copyright notice -->
 $vbphrase[powered_by_vbulletin]
 <!-- Do not remove this copyright notice -->
 </div>

If you're going to move it to another template it MUST appear on every page viewable on your forum for your licence to be valid.
