The message you have entered is too short - Error every time for new members!

    Hey there,

I need help with vBulletin. Basically, some new members are saying that when they sign up at my forums, they try to post and it says "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 5 characters."

A few members are having problems with this.

    Do you have any ideas?

Check your vbulletin options for message posting and see what the min # of characters required is set to.

Also check to see if it's a template error. I had the same problem and eventually found out it was a javascript mod in on the my custom style templates.

Happened to me as well. You gotta reset your templates, most likely caused by a template or style clash. Either that or just delete your cookies and cache, and restart your browser.

basically, i was including a lightbox javascript file in my head.php file that i added in a plugin.

Same issue here, have it set to one character. Was working fine in 3.6?

Fixed, had to remove a javascript file from the head include template.
