Help with cell colour and borders

I need some help please to get my cell borders to have a border on the sub-forums, and to change colour and to remove a few lines etc.

Here's the pics...



I'd like to change the darker grey cells to have the light grey colour. I did this on my forum home page but can't figure out how to do it on my sub-forum as well and my normal forums below sub-forums. I've got a cell border between the left most 'New Post' icon on forum home but I can't seem to get the sub-forums to have a border as well.

Also, I used the tip from this site to force my signature to the bottom and now I'm left with this extra line which I'd like to remove somehow...



Finally, I'd like to make just this bottom right hand cell containing my edit quote etc buttons to be on a white background somehow as my buttons are matted with a white background.

The "level1_post" forums don't have a border on the left. You can make it look like the "level2_post" forums by copying the contents of this template:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Forum Home Templates -> forumhome_forumbit_level2_post

...into this template:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Forum Home Templates -> forumhome_forumbit_level1_post

These two classes control the alternating gray colors:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Main CSS (in the menu) -> First / Second Alternating Color

Just change them to be the same gray. Or if you want to only affect specific instances of the alternating colors then you need to edit the templates. For example, the thread listing uses this template:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Threadbit Templates -> threadbit

That template has various references to "alt1" and "alt2" which you can change appropriately.

Regarding the signature spacer... I was never able to find a clean way to "bottom align" the signature without problems like this. You might try adding one of these attributes to the table cell with the border:

style="padding-top: 0px;"

style="border-top: 0px;"

The bottom right cell of the postbit also uses an alternating color. You can change it the same way as the threadbit.

Fair enough I haven't been able to apply the code fix of giving it no border that you originally supplied for me as it's beyond me at the moment. Any chance you could put the border code you suggested into my template for me please? Then I can try it myself, I honestly only ask for help when I've searched and tried all other options.

If the no border fix won't work after I've tried it that's fine, I appreciate your help a lot, I'd just like to try the border code before I give up on this one but I need help to put the code in the right place to try it in the first place.

I've found an answer to the problem of the extra line I think http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=128951 only problem is that today I removed the forcing code manually and I think I left some in there.

I tried to add the forcing to the bottom code again so that I could apply this: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showp...9&postcount=12 but I got stuck on the first part, adding the original code back.

I'd like to add the forced signature code and apply the fix above for the extra line but I think my template's got some extra stuff in there.
