PHP freezes IIS 5.0 / Where to get mysql for Win32 ?

    Hello ......

I am switching over from UBB to vbulletin ; we have 4900+ registered members, 34+ forums and 200,000+ posts.

I installed the latest PHP last night on the server, but after installation, IIS 5.0 publishing service on Windows 2000 Advanced Server would freeze on startup. The only way I could get iis service to start normally was be deleting php.ini from winnt directory and by deleting the registry keys. What am I doing wrong ? I followed the online documentation.

Also, where can I get MySql for win32 ?

    Thanks for any help

I don't know about IIS 5, but if you try to run PHP as an ISAPI module under IIS4 it kills inetinfo.exe

The only way to set it up that I know of is to run it as CGI. It uses more resources but is still a helluva lot faster and less resource intensive than running PERL.

Rather than using the php4isapi.dll in the Home Directory settings, use php.exe %s %s to parse. It should fly then :)

mySQL for Win32 is available at http://www.mysql.com

they have the 3.23.19 beta release and the 3.22.25 stable release. you just have to look in the downloads section.
