    Pruning threads by year

    Hi,

It seems my phpBB import added moved topics as threads. They are all dated: 01-01-1970 or 01-02-1970. Is there a way to prune all threads made in the year 1970?

Did you try rebuilding thread counters after the import? This generaly fixes this issue.

Yep, I had to update all the counters anyway, otherwise nothing would show.

Admin CP -> Threads & Posts -> Prune -> Original post date is at least X days ago

Then choose the appropriate number of days. I also recommend you choose 'Prune Threads Selectively' after clicking on the Prume Threads button.

Thanks Steve, but what would I input to get it to remove threads made in 1970?

You need to figure out how many days back this is. I can't do everything.

              Steve,
I've the same issue, about 8 or so pages of posts from 1970 that when you click on them there is no information. Just empty.

The threads won't prune, I calculated the days and tried to prune.

I used phpMyAdmin to look at the database, the oldest threads that show up there (in the posts and threads) are the oldest ones that still have information in them.

Tried rebuilding threads and all that to no avail.

              Any suggestions?

So unless I'm missing other functions in the admin panel? I may very well be. Been using vBulletin since Sep. and I'm still finding new stuff in there.

Under Import & Maintence -> Update Counters? I've not seen any function in there to "Update Counters" I've rebuilt thread and forum information, still post counts are off and I have 8 or more pages of posts that do not apparently exist.

There is a separate counter for 'Update Post Counts.'
