see that's why i asked to just sort of have like an auto-win when a certain board (i.e. yaxay or vb.org) get nominated because it's only obvious going to be a massacre and there's no point in carrying out a vote to SEE how much of a massacre there will be...
but I guess it'd be odd to not give other boards a chance anyway, cause you never know...Dameon White, Lead Designer

Personally, I don't think that will work very well.
Just because a board gets a ton of nominations does not necessarily mean it will be a "massacre".
Personally, I think vB.org is the only forum that something like this would happen to. Any other board, and it'll be a tough fight.:)Comment

Correct... Personally, I didn't vote for vBulletin.org as it has some issues for me with its community aspect. It is a great resource for what it is but not a site that I visit socially.Translations provided by Google.

In terms of overall maturity and sense of community, antsgomarching.org was superior. This isn't a slam against vbulletin.org at all -- I'm on that site regularly/daily and never on antsgomarching -- but the latter community is more ... well-rounded shall we say. Fewer kids and ego clashes.
Besides, vB'org needed no extra votes from us. It's a momentum month.Last edited by Arkham; Fri 7 Feb '03, 12:24pm.Comment

Well, I voted for vB.org, voting on the basis of visual style and visual ease of use.
I couldn't really judge on the social aspect of any of the sites, as most are not in the circles I'm involved in (visit my board and you'll know why)
Not having the eyes of a teenager, vB.org seemed to the nicest graphics, yet easiest to navigate.Comment

IMO, having vBulletin.org in there really isn't fair to the other boards.
I voted forum-forum."63,000 bugs in the code, 63,000 bugs, you get 1 whacked with a service pack, now there's 63,005 bugs in the code."
