    Removing 'vBulletin Message'

    Hi,
You know when the forum is offline, you get something that gives the reason, and in the top left corner of the box it says 'vBulletin Message' - are we allowed to customize that without the branding free purchase?

Of course you can. All the branding free means is you can remove the copyright text in the footer. Just about everything else, including the Powered by vBulletin in the title bar can be removed.

Yes, you can edit this without having to purchase the branding-free option.

The 'vBulletin Message' is a phrase, you can search for it in the phrase search and edit it to whatever you want.

Okay, thanks. So can we remove anything that says 'vBulletin' except the footer, if we don't have branding free option?

Yes, you can change the images, the logo, the titlebar, the text in phrases, just not the footer.

              Guys,

What actually is the overall purpose of having this "Vbulletin Message" non clickable link in the upper left corner and down below in the middle?

Is it more or less just a navigation indicator telling me where at on the forums I am currently at?

              Thanks in advance.

              Doug

                  seriously, you bump this ?!

the non-clickable link is to indicate you have a deadend navigation link... no possible way back... this is logical...

... sometimes, people never learn to try...
oh no, i'm not going with Xenforo... come on, i'm better than that... i stick with Wordpress... rofl

Yes I bumped it. Why do you care if I bump it or not? Is there a problem with that? I see nothing wrong with it.

I'm still looking for input, feedback, or additional comments on this so yes I am going to ask again regardless of how long ago the last reply was made.

Yes, the navigation indicator tells you where you are at that moment.

While this thread is sorta' on the topic of copywrites, is it alright to edit the footer only to take the version number out?
