Wizarding Realm

I'm interested to see what you think of The Wizarding Realm now. For a while I went back to IPB, but have just finished a migration back to vBulletin. I've trimmed a lot of stuff, including old applicants that never activated their account, or posted, and cleaned up the forum topics. The things that I like about the style itself is that I put a great deal of thought into color schemes that others who run similar boards have already used as well as color theory. I settled on warm earth tones and a not-too-broad contrast between the highs and lows. I also chose not to alter the templates that much, prefering instead to provide existing, and potential, users with a sense of 'familiarity', making the board more readily acceptable, and usable, to them. Now let's see what you think...

Just I like that you try to make small icons for:

• buttons/reply.gif
• buttons/quote.gif
• buttons/newthread.gif
• etc..

And make forum's background watermark

Thanks for the review and suggestions. The buttons were indeed smaller to begin with, but my users requested they be made larger. I am only assuming that some cannot see as well as others, or they just wanted the text more readable. I do have one question though. Is there a particular advantage, or reason, you suggested watermarking the background? If there's a valid reason I might consider it.

Thank you but I disagree in one part:
Default vBulletin?? The colors are totally different, the header has a menu added (yes the menu is in the header), the postbit is not 100% default (it has a personal text mod under the avatar (like the one that SMF has) that I made myself), almost every icon is changed, the buttons are changed too and there is a vbadvanced left column in the forum!
Notice that I am not being agressive in this post, I just can't see what you mean

As for buttons you could make them bigger but with better design, that gives a final good impression.
And about your background, it is not soft, so on larger monitors with higher resolution it has the attention of your visitor while scrolling the page down & up.

Your background is mixed between brown & silver, if you replace silver with a light brown overlay, and making it fixed while visitor scrolls up & down will get all the visitors attention to page's content & not disturb him, and it also gives a magic touch just like the page content is swimming over the background.
That is my opinion & you are free to do what you see.

Only one note, your Header & Footer doesn't extend in case of attaching an image which is bigger than the postbit size, I advise you solve this problem to prevent your design from getting into parts.
