    Thumbnails look TERRIBLE

I've moved my forum to a new server. The move went well, and the forum seems to be working fine.

I did have to re-install ImageMagick, but it seems to have installed OK.

My thumbnails work now, but they are terrible, washed out, missing colors.

Some look just plain lousy, others upload fine. Any ideas what's wrong?

As far as i know vBulletin does not have an option for ImageMagick at this time.

OK, so what's wrong with my thumbnails? They looked fine before migrating, now they look just plain terrible!

Have a look at this thread:

Image 1 is the thumbnails my old server created, image 2 is the thumbnail the new server makes for the exact same photo. If you look closely, you may notice the subtle quality difference. This has rendered the thumbnails totally useless!

Is GD setup in the same manner as it was on the original host?

Looking at my php info, it looks like I was using
PHP Version 4.1.2 GD Version 1.6.2 or Higher

            The new server says
PHP Version 4.3.2 GD Version Bundled (2.0.12 compatible)

Did you change the vB options to match?

No, I didn't, and that was the problem. The attachments look great now, thank you.

PS - For anyone else who has this problem, under the server settings and options of the general settings, you'll find a requester which asks which version of GD you're using. If you pick the wrong one, it will work, but your thumbnails will look really bad.
