    No credit card?

Hi. I'm interested in getting vB. I was looking into the check payment option (which is an alternate to credit card), and I still have to give my credit card information and it says my credit card will be billed. I don't want this. I want to pay by check. Why must I give my credit card information when I'm wanting to pay by check?

    Oh yeah, it says:

Thank you! You order reference number is XXXXXXXX - please retain this number for your records. The total amount that will be charged to your credit card is displayed above. This transaction will appear on your credit card statement as "WP-Jelsoft Enterpr Ascot GB". Please follow these steps to finalise your order using your credit card via telephone:
    • Have your credit/debit card ready
    • Call this number: +44 870 458 2564 (UK)
    • Tell us your reference number: C7243822
    • Tell us your credit/debit card number
    • Tell us your credit/debit card expiration date (month/year)
    • You're done!
We normally process this order within 2 working days after we receive your order. You will receive a confirmation email from WorldPay (our payment processing partner), and emails from us relevent to the products you have purchased as soon as the payment has been processed. If you have any questions about your order, please contact our sales team at [email protected] quoting your reference number.
    What's up here? Thanks.

Okay thanks because in the e-mail it said: "Here is a direct link to your order page, along with all required payment information", and it only gave credit card info. Thanks for the help .

Awesome thanks. Couple more quick questions (with check/money order payment):

              1. How will I receive the software?

              2. How long should it take (on average) to receive it?

              3. What should I include in the mail (besides the check/M.O. itself)?

              4. What is the invoice number? Where do I find it?

Thanks again for answering all my questions.

                1. You will get an email with a customer number and password. You use this to log into the Members Area and download the software.

                2. This depends on how long it takes for the check to reach us and clear our bank.

                3. All necessary info is provided when you choose the 'check' payment option from our purchase page.

                4. That is also provided when you place your order.

Yet another question. Where can I get full styles/skins for vB? vbulletintemplates.com seems to only have skin mods. Is there a site which gives (free) styles/skins, like how IPB how ibplanet.com with all those skins; that sort of thing.

Any free ones? I've searched and can't find any.

There are a few styles for vBulletin over at vBulletintemplates.com.

I received a reply to an email I wrote to the support team today. In my email I wrote:

I understand paying with money orders is the same as paying with check, but where exactly on the back of the money order do you write the invoice number, or does it not matter where on the back.
                          They wrote back:

I'm afraid that we are unable to accept money orders.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.
Is that true or not? I don't see why it wouldn't be. On the offline payment printout screens (invoice one in particular, from what I checked out), all say the following:

Pay by check or money order by mailing to:

Unless there was a misunderstanding, you wont get a different answer on the support forums than by email from the support team...

There does seem to be some confusion about this. I've asked the Business Manager to answer this definitively.
