How Do I Make the Sub-Forums Viewable On Main Page?

I've scanned back through for pages, but can't seem to find this.

What I would like is more or less like what's on this site, where under the forum description it will read:

Sub-Forum: (Subforum Name), (Subforum Name), etc.

Yeah, I'm new to all of this, and I admit quite stupid.
