You can try changing the gamma settings on your display. Windows uses 1.8 while Macintosh uses 2.2 (I think, I might have the numbers wrong).

You guys are aware it's entirely possible some are happy with vB 5, right? Maybe the consensus right now is that it's not very good, but different people like different things.

They might want to consider fixing something that doesn't work on what is going to be one of the most commons ways a vB 5 site is accessed....

Usually, message boards do not let you delete your account on your own because it can mess up existing threads and messages. Contact the admins, or else just log out and never log in again....

Well, vBulletin is self-hosted, so you naturally get more control than you would with a remotely hosted solution like ProBoards. Although, ProBoards v5 is really nice and brings a lot of new features...

I've always found the boards that die the quickest are the ones that either don't serve a specialized niche, or poorly maintained ones that fall victim to spambots. I've had both occur to me several times....

I've used it before, and it's a very nice freeware solution. Some of the earliest releases actually used stock vB code, but that was a long time ago. I'd say it's probably my favorite freeware solution,...
