Members must login before the board is visible

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything regarding this specifically.

The UBB message board forum I currently work with does not allow a visitor to view the message board at all - they can only see the login screen. This means they really have no idea what the message board looks like until they have registered and logged in.

I want to move over to vB, as UBB is draining the processor on my server - but I really can't unless this feature is available.

That feature is there. You can disallow guests to view the whole system, or just posts in selective forums.
