DO I have to have Telnet to backup ?

Hi currently using Ikonboard 3, waiting for the converter to be released.

Concerned about backing up and restoring the SQL database for Vb. Our server currently dosen't allow Telnet, is this the ONLY safe way to restore a SQL backup ? or is there another way ?

    cheers

It is the best and easiest way. I have successfully restored backups over 300 megabytes using MySQL Front and phpMyAdmin on my local machine though.

If your host doesn't provide Telnet, do they provide SSH? The interface is the same, it is just that SSH is secure whereas Telnet is not.
