I really like the look of some of the forums I have seen designed with VBulletin. What I would like to know is just how much work is involved in creating this great appearance?
In otherwords. If I purchased VBulletin and installed it without doing anything to it. What would the user interface look like?
What skills are required to create my own template for page headers etc. Is it simply inserting the necessary PHP code into a HTML template?
Are there any examples of "standard" out of the box layouts?
As a comment, it is a great shame that you don't allow a free version for charities, schools etc. That would let web designers play before commiting themselves. (No need to reply to last point, its just a comment)
