    Tutorial on Permissions

In using the demo version of vBulletin, I'm delving into the use of permissions. To that end, it appears that I've locked myself out of all control in the CP. Any button I choose in the CP gives me the err msg, "No permissions on node id 1". An error I haven't been able to get around. It's a demo site, so no biggie.

Now that we're planning on signing up for vBulletin cloud, this is one problem I want to learn how to fix OR not to cause.

    My questions are:
    1. Is there a tutorial on permissions?
    2. If worse comes to worse, and down the road, as I won't be managing this, is there a way to have a backup restored if the untoward occurs?
UPDATE - Note ... logged off and logged off and on - things seemed to have improved - haven't encountered the "node id 1" error yet.

    Thank you.

The vBulletin 5 Manual has extensive information on permissions. There are also knowledgeable support staff and long-time users of vBulletin 5 in the support forums to answer any questions you may have pertaining to permissions or anything else regarding the software.

    I can't intelligently answer #2.

    Yes on #3.

We can always restore your Cloud site from backup, upon request. There is no charge for doing this.
