    vBulletin or IP Board?

Hello, I have a little game community with 50/100 users online, and excepcting to grow a lot more, im now with SMF but was thinking to migrate to something more professional vBulleint or IP Board.. the good thing of vBulletin that you pay 1 license for ever.. but the bad thing that the current version have like 5-6 years, and im afraid that im going the buy a license and in few months release os vBulleting 6 haha.

Then the good thing of IP Board that is much more costumizable and with more "friendly" interface, but is expensive af... so idk any suggestions?

I can definitely tell you that vBulletin 6 is not even on the drawing board right now. No chance of it being released in a few months.

Also Vbulletin has no real way to port your forum information over. Their Impex importer they used to have is essentially dead and they just recommend 3rd party import companies which generally get more costly than what you will pay for the VB software.

Vbulletin has improved a bit but unfortunately for those looking to import they are not an attractive option unless you want to spend some serious $$$$ to import. It's a shame really. Lack of an importer (something much of the competition has), greatly inhibits forum expansion and growth under the VB brand and forces potential clients to just look elsewhere.
