ubb database to vbb ?

wondering if you can convert a ubb database to a vbb ?

my friend wants to take his ubb message board and convert it to vbb and he wants to know if this is possible before he buys it

and will the members all be there etc....

and if this is possible , how would you go about doing it? do you just upload a .php script to your server and put in the url to the ubb and hit go ?

i have never done one of these before so i am currious.

Yes we provide an import script that asks a few questions and it will automatically import from your UBB.

They do have import scripts, but it you are on UBB6.2 it is not released yet.

They are just finishing the script. If you are lucky (I was unluck 4 weeks ago) and did not upgrade to 6.2, there is a script for you right now.

Otherwise you will have to wait until the script is released by vbullentin

how will i know when this script is available since i dont have vbb yet unless we are sure we can convert.

and how hard is it to do ? just upload the script give it the ftp or somthing of the other thing?

I am sure you will see a post from someone that the import script is available.

Or keep an eye on this thread, since JamesUS did post it should be ready very soon. Just minor changing being done.
