The site administrator can choose what file extensions to allow as well as the maximum file size of each in the Attachment Manager in the Admin CP. Check out the 7 day online trial to take a look- https://www.vbulletin.com/en/vb5-trial/.

There would be no problem allowing the files you want so long as they are not larger than any server maximums on file uploads.

    Attachments files extensions

    Hi guys,

I want ask you what are the limitations regarding the extensions of the files attached in forum posts. I tried .zip and it worked. I tried others like: .hki or .mgz (related to a video game) and it didn't work. I got a message saying "You are not allowed to upload files with the extension...". Thanks in advance!

    Regards,

    Gabriel.-
