Can I convert this site to vBulletin?

It currently uses phpBB. Me and my friends are willing to spend up to £2,000 on converting this site to vBulletin and making it better

Free forum : A forum for students, or just those hoping to learn new things!

    Thanks

You could try using Impex, old, but open source software that has had some recent updates, to try and convert from phpBB to VB4. You could then upgrade to VB5 if you wish. Your VB5 license will allow you to install VB4 if you prefer so that is no problem.

There is also a 3rd party commercial forum migration service at http://gconverters.com/. I have never used them myself, we don't officially support or recommend them, but I've heard other customers have used them in the past. They claim they can import from just about any forum into vBulletin 4 or 5. Something to consider if you have such a budget.

I have recently converted a phpBB forum into vB4.2.5 using Impex. You can do it too.
