    VB Content Management System

I thought I had read about a content management module coming out with VBulletin 3.0. I was curious how many aspects of vbportal or phpnuke/postnuke it will have? For example, I imagine article submissions/discussions, calendar, downloads, as well as general content management will all be present?

I personally would love a classifieds script w/ a pay-to-post feature that could be integrated with vbulletin or a vbportal-like cms.

they havent released any specifics on it yet. but they will near the time of its release. All they said is that it would plug in seemlessily with vB 3.0.

there are lots of threads about the vB CMS in the chit chat forum. in all of them the vB devs aren't saying much of anything... just that they are working on a CMS for vB 3 which will be released at a future date.

so we don't know anything about the CMS yet.

        Hmmm...

Does that mean that vbportal is going to be competition for them?

Most likely it will be. However we will provide a seamless integration of the products and the same support that we have always provided.

Oh, that's too bad. Well, I can't wait to take a look. If your CMS has a built-in classifieds script (allowing me to charge users to post ads), I'm all over it.

              BTW,

When can I expect it? I was about to go with vbportal and go live, but now I'm wondering if I should wait. Or will it be fairly simple to switch to your CMS from vbportal once it is released?

We don't currently have a time schedule for the release of the CMS. It will go into full development once VB3 is stabilized enough to allow it.

                  Hello,

Will this CMS be a part of the VB 3.0 package?? Users who buy VB 2.x now will get this as a free upgrade?

xiphoid, please do not post your speculations, as facts, when you are not in position to know this information beyond the public posts that everyone has access to.

You are giving the impression that your information is from Jelsoft when, in fact, it is not.
