Can I upload my vBulletin 4.2 styles to vBulletin 5 if I'm on my own server?

I'm considering upgrade to vBulletin 5 primarily for some of the rich content features, specifically the ability for vB 5 to pull in rich content when you post a URL. But I want to maintain the color theme of my current forum. Can I upload my style templates to vB 5? I signed up for a demo to test things like this out but I can't upload any style templates. I'm guessing that's because the demo site is a cloud instance but I would be hosting my own.

No you can't. vB5 styles are not compatible with old versions. You have to re-do your old style.

Ugh.... that might be a deal breaker. Is the style system at least better in vB5? It took me weeks to get my forum "skinned" because I find the style manager in vB4 to be completely non-intuitive.

Stylevar Editor in vB4 is pretty much the same in vB5.

Style Variables in VB5 are almost completely different than they were in VB4 in terms of names and what they affect, but it is still a combination of style variables and custom CSS.
