    Access masks in demo version?

Very basic question. I cannot find where to enable access masks in the vBulletin options in the demo version. Is this available in the demo? I am interested in the cloud product.

Access masks are not a feature of vB5.

Okay. It is strange then because there is an Access Masks option under "Users" in the Admin CP directory.

So if I want to restrict certain users to only certain forums or subforums in vBCloud I would have to put them all in a usergroup and restrict access that way? Is there any other way?

          Thank you.

Then why is there a setting for them?

In the User Manager of my cloud demo there is the option "Edit Access Masks".

When you go there it says you have to enable access masks.

But then there is no option for this in my general settings.

This would be a very useful feature for me. Please let me know. Thank you.

As stated, access masks are not a featiure of vB5. The settings are a leftover from vB4, where they ARE a feature. The settings will be removed in a future release, it just hasn't been a priority so far.

Using usergroups is the only way in VB5/vBCloud.

Are there any other features in VB5/vBCloud that are actually no longer available but the settings are still visible?

There are probably one or two...PM popup springs to mind...but most such cases have since been cleaned up and removed. The others will be as time permits.

Some attachment tools don't work, view moderated items (aside from users) don't work (because moderated items list have been moved to the front end.)
