vbulletin 5.x and SEO

how does vbulettin 5 handle SEO, is there anything i can do to optimize the ranking beside posting enough quality content?

Quality content is how to get the best ranking in search engines. You can no longer 'fool' the likes of Googke with SEO 'trickery'.

But I agree with Mark, regarding onsite and offsite SEO, follow Google's guidelines and do not try to trick Google. I spent a couple thousand dollars in a year on offsite SEO - save your money.
