    convertor

since impex is not supprted any more, do you have any plans to replace it? You are the only software without a convertor/importer.

As far as I know there is no new Impex on the immediate horizon. Beyond that I can't say, hopefully someone else with more info may be able to chime in.

Please don't post in large characters. It won't make any difference to whether anyone answers your post.

There are no plans for a new version of ImpEx.

            Well... that's me out.

I was asked to find an alternative to phpBB and the two things my customer needs are Exact Phrase Search capability (something phpBB does not have) and obviously, an Import function

We're not going to sit and write our own importer.

You can import to vB4 then upgrade to vB5...

There is no more information to be had. We are not currently updating ImpEX. There are no plans at this time to continue updating ImpEx. It has been given to the community to do with what they will as an open source project. There are no plans to replans ImpEx with another project at this time.
