I may be buying an older website that runs 3.8 right now, and when I take it over I will probably want to upgrade to the latest version. Is there a paid upgrade migration service available? This isn't something I would want to tackle myself.

- which version of 3.8 they are using
- whether they are using any mods or addons of any kind. I'd ask the question and find out which addons they are actually using as it could affect your ability to upgrade
If it's just a version of 3.8 without any mods then I would think you'd have little problem upgrading to vBulletin 4, but a few things might change if you then upgrade to vBulletin 5. This does however depend upon which version of PHP and MySQL the existing site is running on. So I'd find that out before buying too.Comment
