5.1.7 is unstable and unsupported. It is an Alpha release. You should, by default download 5.1.6.

Yes, all alpha and beta versions should only be used for test purposes and should not be used on live sites as they are not supported.

You should download 5.1.6 from the members area upon purchasing vbulletin. They usually have a new stable release every 2 months or so and a completed version of 5.1.7 should be released to the public soon. Once it is you will be notified via your admincp.
