    Connection not secure

When I try to connect with vbulletin I get this warning

    This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to www.vbulletin.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Can someone explain what is going on? How can I safely purchase VB if the site can't be confirmed as secure?

    vbulletin.com uses https - https://www.vbulletin.com
    vbulletin.org uses http - http://www.vbulletin.org

So, don't mix the two up.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I'm not mixing anything up, I made 2 separate attempts to connect with 2 different sites and got the same warning. If you can't answer why vbulletin.org is reported as insecure and untrusted that's fine but don't accuse me of something I'm not doing.

Users get that message when they go to vbulletin.org and use https instead of http.

Since you have been posting in this section for over two years without purchasing, it seems to me you have no intention of buying it anyway, so you dont need to worry about it.

As I didn't use either https nor http when I typeb www.vbulletin.com and www.vbulletin.org I fail to see your point?

I'm sure I'm not worried but it would/should be of concern to you that I and others were unable to purchase.

And in all that time you are the first to notice. Not that you care, but you did notice.
There has been a lot to research over the years. A lot of pros and cons voiced by those who have vast experience with the program and support. There has been a lot to consider when investing in a license that gives the end user no rights to what they purchase and how it is used. There has been a lot to consider in the lack of support from developers of the main program once something is altered. A mod or theme added. And when I finally come to a decision to purchase and invest my hard earned money in Vbulletin, you as the Senior Developer give me another thought to consider. Is this program worth the years of abuse I have suffered at the hands of staff who take pleasure in harassing prospective buyers which is surely to continue based on the abuse handed out to others recently and past who have purchased this license?
All I wanted was to buy a license and reported with good intentions a problem I encountered when trying to do so. If you are not interested in providing support for that, but prefer instead for your staff to falsely accuse me of doing something I didn't, and for you to throw in my face that I have been researching the viability of this investment, then I have further research to do.
Thank you for your time and censorship, it has been enlightening.

We provide support to licensed users who have questions about using or configuring the product we sell. Beyond that we answer legitimate pre sales questions. We don't provide support for browser issues. I'm not sure what use vbulletin.org is to you since don't have a license.

We have already explained the issue you are having. There is no problem with the way vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org are set up, if there was we'd have numerous complaints about the issue.

You've been asking pre sales questions for more than two years, and scanning through your posts many of them involve making less than complimentary comments about the product we sell. If you really feel that strongly then maybe it's not right for you? I don't know.

As for third party modification support, we have never provided this and never will. We cannot possibly support code we did not write.

Since your question has been answered, I'll close this thread. You are welcome to ask further questions but we are unable to provide any form of support until you buy a license.
