Porting from Lithium?

A hypothetical question here: If you were to import a large Lithium forum to vBulletin how difficult would it be to do and what difficulties would arise?

I would only interested in the safest way of doing this, unnecessary risks wouldn't be acceptable.

What ground work would have to be done?
What costs would be involved?
How long would it take?
What potential bugs could arise?
Would losing content be a risk?

There's no importer from Lithium to vBulletin, so the only route to do this would be to port to something else that does have a Lithium importer, but which we have an importer for.
Hence:
Lithium => <Something else> => vBulletin.

We are just finishing a project porting from Lithium to Vbulletin - going live in a couple of weeks. We had to develop some deep level tools to do it. I'd gladly chat with you about it.
