Okay first let me say I'm learning as I go. At the beginning of 2012 we started up a website for a game we play and have put together a decent site we thing given that I'm not a professional web designer or a computer science major.
What I'm looking to do is get rid of the forum based plugins for WP and have our forums run with vBulletin so when any member or non member of our gaming community clicks the "forum" link in the header it will take them to the vBulletin forums instead of the plugin forums that I'm currently using.
Please visit the website so you can visually see what I'm about to ask. http://www.FLaTLiNeRz.us
If I was to purchase the vbulletin software when someone was click "forum" would it take them to an entirely new page or would the forums load up inside the Wordpress theme like the current plugin forums do.
I heard and have read about having two databases and some kind of bridge to link vBulletin registrations with the wp website. Will any of that pertain to what we are trying to accomplish?
Sorry if the question seem sophomoric at best, I'm truly learning as I go.
Thanks,
Randy
