    Mobile Suite Questions?

I'm thinking of purchasing the vbulletin mobile suite.

    Couple questions:

    1. Is it only a one time fee of $199 or do you have to pay an additional $99 per year?

    2. If you do have to pay a $99 per year what happens if you dont pay it? Does it just stop working automatically and its no longer mobile friendly?

    3. Do I have to update my site to the latest version of vbulletin to install the mobile app?

    4. What are the steps to installing the mobile app if I do purchase it?

    1) Currently it is $149 for the first year and $99 each year afterwards.

    2) Your current app will continue working as published in the store. You will no longer be able to customize the app or download new copies.

    3) We support 3.7.4 through 3.8.7 and 4.2.0. If you're not using one of those versions then you will not be able to use the App.

    4) It isn't really installed more like deployed. Both Google and Apple have different requirements for deployment and these are provided when you download the compiled Apps.

Thanks for getting back to me on all the questions.

I tried going to purchase it right now after logging into my account and under "add-ons" where it says mobile suite it shows a price of $199. ??? This is straight copy and pasted from that page...

I was told the price was $149... Maybe it requires something else or the cart is incorrect or they reverted the price. I suggest calling the sales people directly.

        Sales +1-877-326-6444 (toll free) / +1-310-280-4221 (direct)

Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time.

So if someone goes to my website after I purchase and download this mobile suite... will my users require having to download some type of app to have their phone mobile or does the site work mobile automatically once uploaded to my site???

They would need to install the Apps on their phones to use them. They can use the mobile style included with your software without downloading anything.

In addition to the money you pay vBulletin per year it also costs money to open/maintain Apple and Google developer accounts.

                Apple- Additional $99 a year
Google Play - 1 time fee of $25

In addition to submit the app to your apple developer account you must have access to an Apple Mac Operating System.

Wow so it starts getting pretty expensive. Is this Vbulletin site using all those add-ons? So are there any other hidden costs missing? What am I looking at grand total if I decide to go with the mobile suite upgrade?

Thanks for the heads up Joe D.

Can you please confirm that you mean:
currently, mobile suite only supports 3.7.4 to 4.2.0, however, it will support vb5 in the future

Actually, you can use the Mobile Suite with vBulletin 3.7.4 through 3.8.7 and with vBulletin 4.2.0. Previous versions of vBulletin 4.X do not support the current Mobile App.

When a version is made available for 5.X, then you can upgrade to 5.X if you're using the Mobile Suite.
