Restricting starting new thread ability in certain sections?

Hi! looking at purchasing VBulletin for a new website, and was wondering if it is possible to restrict the ability to start a new thread in certain sections of the Forum? We want to have certain sections where only paid members can START a new thread- but then anyone could view or post.

Is there a paid membership addon available or included in the VBulletin platform?

Paid Subscriptions are not yet part of vBulletin 5.

What you ask can be done easily with custom usergroup/forum permissions and paid subscriptions in vBulletin 4.x which you can run instead if you buy a VB5 license. VB5 is still in Beta.
