    changing the forum location (folder)

    Hi

I am planning to do the following:

I would like, after the purchase to upload the forum under location www.mydomain.com/forum so I can work on changing the template, setting up the privileges, crating the forums...and then, when done I will just move the forum under root folder (www.mydomain.com)

How much hassle will that cause to me? Will I have to make many changes in that case? Or it is easy to be moved?

    Regards,Zoran

You would just need to change the Forum URL for the site (as well as move the files, of course). But why not just build it in the correct place and have it password protected while you set it all up?

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

you could just turn off the forum while you are working.

The Forum URL is set in AdminCP > Settings > Options > Site Name/URL/etc > Forum URL

Ask your host how to password protect your site/directory. Or, google ".htaccess password protect" and learn how to do it manually. (Most hosts, if they have some sort of cPanel type server control panel can do it easily with that.)
