Version 5 Addons & Themes Questions

I'm considering buying version 5. Are there any demo sites I can look at without installing the demo? Are a lot of people updating addons/plugins/themes and making new ones for 5? I'm looking for things that are very SEO friendly, ad insertion friendly, and the ability to charge my members money for either access to the forum or parts of the forum. Also possibly having it in an invite only mode where you still may have to pay. Do you have any stats on how much more traffic an average a forum might generate from their vbul mobile apps? I realize this is dependent on the site but I did say "average."

    Thanks.

What do you mean by 'demo sites'? Sites, that are currently using vB5, or sites where you can try and play around with vB5?

'A lot' is relative. Currently vB4 has way more addons than vB5, but of course addons/themes etc. for vB5 do exist. There is an official vBulletin modifications site, you can find it under: www.vbulletin.org

      Either or both.

What about the mobile question? Have people been seeing a lot of mobile app traffic they may not have otherwise had?

We have no official stats on mobile traffic, sorry.

            Demo sites:
            • An official beta test site does exist under: http://www.vbulletin.com/beta
This however doesn't give you access to the AdminCP, so all you can do is play around with some frontend functionality (which is also possible on this site).
            • Mark B. runs an unofficial test site, which gets updates to the latest releases regularly: http://www.talknewsuk.com/testvb

If you want to play around with vB5 before buying, then you really should try the demo. It gives you a good idea of what vB5 can do and can't do. http://www.vbulletin.com/en/vb5-trial

An example for a bigger vB5 site: http://www.hdherd.com

Despite that you can always use the footer information (Powered by vBulletin...) and do a Google search. It gives quite a few results.
