    Urgent: Please advise !!!

    Hi guys

    I am using UBB 6.04

My UBB ran into some serious problems. It was magically reverted back to the exact settings as of Dec 11th 2001.

2 forums out of 28 forums were sort of corrupted.
    Member database appears intact.

I would like to switch to vBulletin, and i would like to ask if the import of data of UBB version 6.04 into vBulletin will be successful or likely to be successful based on my above situation.

The individual folders containing the forums ie. Forum 1, Forum 2 etc.... appears alright. The files are there dated today.

    Please advise.

    thanks!!

If your forums were corrupted, we cannot make any guesses on whether they will import or not. If the data is crucial, the best course of action would be to repair the corruption before upgrading.

      thanks for the reply.

I got a fully working backup but it is dated 26th nov 2001.

So is this the correct procedure:

      1) install the backup onto my Win2K server

      2) Buy the owned license

      3) install vBulletin

      4) Import

I read somewhere that the UBB and vBulletin must be on the same server.

      please advise thanks

        That is the correct procedure.
