Could vbulletin handle my site?

My site currently uses Invision software and it simply can't cope with us. We regularly have threads running into hundreds of pages and have 1,000- 2,000 members on line. Could vbulletin software run us?

I suspect vBulletin would do about as well as invision, it really sounds like your server or hosting platform is not as well optimized as it could be. We do have vBulletin 3 and 4 sites that have thousands of users online (5000-20000) reguarlly, however they do have the server infrastructure to handle that sort of traffic.
