I am a mobile app developer and I'm thinking about using vBulletin to interact with my users, but I have special requirements. vBulletin seems extremely customizable so I'm hoping it will meet my needs, which are as follows:
Must haves
1. Mobile browser support. I saw a "Mobile Style" in the admin demo but I couldn't get it to show in my browser
2. A forum where users can post feature requests and other users can vote on them.
3. Support tickets. I read here this can be done with a private forum but it would be nice to see a demo.
4. Read-only, searchable "How to" pages. This would more-or-less function as the FAQ for my app. (I assume this is a no-brainer for vBulletin)
Nice-to-haves
5. Instant registration and sign-in. Since the forums are only accessible via my app I don't want or need double opt-in.
6. Email integration. Not just notifications, but the ability to post replies via email. This is mainly for the support ticket forum, so users don't have to login to reply to support staff.
Currently I'm using Zendesk and it meets all my requirements except the most important one: mobile browser support. Their mobile site is read-only.
If there any examples of a company already using vBulletin for the above functions I'd love to see it.
