    Connect 5 CMS /vBulletin 4

I've been holding off upgrading because I have the CMS, and I just read that the CMS will be out later this year. My questions are:

    1. Can I upgrade the forum part to 5 and keep my 4 CMS?

    2. Is there no separate costs anymore as previously whereby I could buy just the forum without the CMS. What if I wanted to go back to just a forum to save costs?

    1) if you upgrade to vB5 all your vB4 CMS data is saved. ( however I would not upgrade just yet, I would wait for others to see how well their old data is pulled from the db and used with vB5's CMS)
    2) Nope, you can only purchase vB5 as a whole. Granted you do get access to all the versions and don't have to actually use vB5. You can pick one version from the available downloads to use in public.

      Thank you for your reply.

I've decided to do away with the CMS and have spent the last few weeks moving my CMS to html pages.

I suppose I'm ready to upgrade now.

Honney66 most probably setting up his/her spambot.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

Where did you read that the CMS will be out later this year? Is this true?

PS: Is the calendar going to be out later this year as well?

OK so 5.1 includes CMS, does it also include calendar?

Same again...if 5.1 is just released in alpha and includes CMS, does it include the calendar? Anyone know?

No it doesn't include the calendar. If it did, I would have mentioned it in the announcement as it is a fairly big feature. It is something I am still working to get included. However I don't have a lot of say. What I need is customer reinforcement.
