Is GODADDY website okay for a VBulletin Forum??

We are looking at installing a VBulletin Forum on a shared Godaddy server. Is there anything we need to know about using GoDaddy and how VBulletin performs?

For those who have or are using GoDaddy, please offer your advice.

Also, I am unsure where the support line at GoDaddy will be able to address any potential VBulletin issues that may arise.

    Thanks,

    David

I've not had any experience with them myself, but the anecdotal evidence seems to suggest people have issues with them.

I wouldn't go with hostgator or godaddy personally.

Godaddy is for suckers. I use ASmallOrange.com, have for years and love it.

I'm extremely satisfied with Global Gold. Best host I've ever had and their support is awesome!

I've heard of nightmares with GoDaddy, and Hostgator.

If you want to know specifically the best host for vBulletin: www.webhostingtalk.com one of the biggest sources of information on where to get hosting for a specific website or type of website.

GoDaddy is good for purchasing domains, shared hosting = You being the only member online and it crawls like a snail i.e. overselling imo.

Well, we have our own dedicated server right now, but our host does not include VB support.

The Godaddy accounts we have have been very good, but we have yet to look at the godaddy dedicated servers.

If someone has tried Godaddy with their VB forum, what are the "issues" or the challenges? Is it you tried it on a shared server with limited resources?

                              Most webhosts won't "support" vbulletin.

It is in your best intrests to shop around for a dedicated/semi-dedicated webhost.
