Thinking of buying vB, few questions

    1. Is there a way to have an archive section for each forum and make it so that any thread older than 30 days automatically moved there?
    2. Is there a way to make it so that only users that have paid for our service to be able to access the forum? I know I could do it manually by putting them in groups, but we are expecting 11,000 schools worldwide to sign up just in this year, which contain about 3 teachers at each school that will be using it. So that’s about 33,000 users to move plus the 200 schools already signed up.
    3. Is there a time set for the release of vB3?
    4. OK, last question for the moment, If you install hacks onto your forum, do you (like some companies) lose all right to technical support?
    Thanks,

    1. There is no way to have an automatic archive section, however it is very easy to 'mass-move' posts over to a different forum from the admin/moderator control panel based on post date, so you could do this manually.

    2. There is no built in functionality for this, but we recommend either posting on vBulletin.org (our code hacking partner site) about it or contacting a private developer/programmer to add this in for you.

    3. Can't comment

    4. While we can't officially offer technical support to hacked boards, we will always help if the problem is not caused by a hack. Officially, hacked boards lose the entitlement to support, but in practice we will help if we can

      4. You can obtain 'unofficial' support for hacked boards at the official hacking site, www.vbulletin.org .
