What time frame is that and how many bugs fixed so far?

There should be a 3.8.7 release, anyone who has paid for the 3 month extension will get 3.8.7.

So even if I get the 3 month extension now. And 3.8.7 comes out in 5 months, I can still download it?

And now, it's been promised again. Nice try though.

I'd also like to mention that besides receiving 3.8.7, anyone who purchases the 3 months extension will receive a lifetime update for the vBulletin 3 series. Mostly for security bug fixes.

I thought 3.8.7 was intended to be last official release for the 3.x (according to certain staff members) branch? So, what do you mean "mostly" security bugs? Is that implying 3.8.7 might not be the last maintenance release?

Also, shouldn't any security updates be available to all users who have 3.x owned licenses? Even if they didn't purchase the extension?

I think they mean after when its EOL and that there will be no more security patches made that they make an exception for people that bought the extension that they will try and fix security for them.

Thank you for still working on vBulletin 3.x series. I am one of those waiting for 3.8.7 like never did before for an update. Specially because i'm hoping the compatibility between latest php and mysql version will be fixed.
Don't get me wrong, i'll go for vBulletin 4.x series, but after looking at my plugins and themes development, i think 2011 will be the year to "Must have" vB 4.x. Meanwhile, i just want to use my blog features and everything i paid for (stuff that simply doesn't work on vBulletin 3.8.5 and 3.8.6).

Thank you vB Team for not giving up on 3.x series !

                            Blog doesn't work in 3.8.6?

                            What else doesn't work?

That is good news. We will see what happens when the update is available.

really? the blog and project tools don't work? I thought they would, though I don't have a real need for them.
