Possible to migrate from phpBB to vBulletin without losing any kind of traffic?

    I own a forum : http://forums.hellboundbloggers.com/

It is currently powered by phpBB. I want to migrate to vBulletin (I'm really stunned by its features).

But is it possible to transfer all the contacts, members, threads and so on to vBulletin without losing traffic and without getting broken links? Possible?

Nobody can control your traffic but the server or your forum being closed fo awhile.

But there are auto tweeters for vB that get you loads of traffic but lets you use nearly 2500MB worth of bandwidth.

Oh wait lol, your forum is NEW!!!! What traffic is there to lose?

Your users will need to change their passwords to login after migrating from phpBB to vBulletin.

Also, all the thread (topic) and post IDs will change, so any old links to threads will be broken. There is a script at vBulletin.org that will make your old phpBB topic links point to the new vBulletin threads.

I would recommend upgrading from phpBB to vBulletin 3.8.x.

You can see what data will be imported at http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_phpBB3

you will get broken links. existing links posted in the post will not be converted.

You can use impex's 404 script to redirect the broken threads to the right place
